Yoga is beautiful!

Yoga is such a beautiful activity.  When you practice everyday you see and learn more of Yoga's beauty and how it changes you from the deepest part of your being.  The path is like no other journey you will take and will bring you to places inside yourself you never would of imagined were there.

Yoga is...

1.2 Yoga is the control (nirodhah, regulation, channeling, mastery, integration, coordination, stilling, quieting, setting aside) of the modifications (gross and subtle thought patterns) of the mind field.
(yogash chitta vritti nirodhah)

Pain

Your pain is real and you must learn to work through the pain.  There is no easy answer or cure sometimes for the pain we experience.  Yoga can help easy some pain and help you learn to deal with the deep scars you have.   Still this takes time and prayer.  Make each Yoga day a day to move closer to wholeness and out of pain.

Hard day.

Was a hard day, my left arm and shoulder have been bugging me for sometime with carpal tunnel and this is making Yoga hard to do.  Does anyone have an answer out there?

Can you explain?

Can you explain how Yoga has changed you?  The change starts from the first time you step onto a Yoga mat and begin to warm up.  Then you make the commitment where Yoga will be more important to you than other things in life.   You will do Yoga over taking a lunch, you will do Yoga over eating dinner on time.  Yoga becomes something more, Yoga becomes your life.  You realize deep inside every cell of your being has been wanting what Yoga brings to you but just found out.  Then you ask why did I wait so long to start my path into Yoga.

Yoga like water

Water is essential to life and so is Yoga.  No other exercise routine has had this impact or drawn me into its fold like like Yoga.  Now my body craves the work out like the parched riverbed the river.  When I do not manage to work out I notice a difference in everything I do, life just is less.  The fullness and completeness Yoga brings to my life can come to anyones life and maybe, your path is not Yoga but we all need this completeness.  Yoga like water is what I need, what do you need?

Hard day

I had a really hard time working out this morning.  I got up with a pinched nerve in my back and the pain was with me all day.  The Yoga helped work out some of the kinks but I still was stiff all day.

8 days of Yoga

I only had time for a short workout this morning but plan on a good 40 min to hour work out tomorrow.  Still even the short 20 min work out was much better than just getting up an starting the day.  Yoga alway puts life into perspective for me.  I feel more grounded in reality and truth whenever I start a day with a Yoga workout.

The Witness and your workout

Every workout is seen by the Witness, are you honoring the Witness in your workouts?  Are you finding the still place at the end of your workout to commune with the Witness.  Yoga is all about bringing your whole being to the workout and becoming more aware of who you really are as a person.  Make sure you are allowing time to connect with the Witness with each workout.

Day 6 Fighting the lazy

When you get up and your mind is trying to tell you, "you don't need to do Yoga today."  How do you fight this lazy urge?  Yoga will happen today.  I keep telling myself, yet I am still sitting here on the couch.  As soon as I am done making this post I am going to do some Yoga.  Let me know how you fight the lazy day, or the I am to busy day, to do Yoga or exercise at all.

Blessings to you

Nat

Had a great work out after fighting the lazy.  Fighting the lazy makes you feel even better after finishing a Yoga session.

keeping it simple

Had a light 20 minute workout this morning and 20 minute meditation session was nice and simple.  Sometimes the simple things in life are the best things in life.

Calming Breath

When you are doing Yoga and breathing properly it is amazing what you can do.  You can manage the pain of holding a pose just through concentrating on your breathing.  Moving the pain out of the location you stressed in your Yoga pose.  Keep breathing in an out, slow steady breaths will calm your mind and your whole body.  A calm mind and body leads to a better deeper workout experience.  Breath in, breath out, do Yoga and live a fuller life.

2 days on the path of a life time journey.

A short work out this morning but still good.  You always feel better about your day and life even with just a few minutes of Yoga.  Your whole outlook changes with some deep breathing, sun salutations and meditation.  This morning Om Mani Padmi  Hum was the mantra.  Today is going to be a great day, one day closer to the jewel of consciousness.

Breathing in your workout.

364 days to go, had a great workout at the gym today.  The Yoga instructor does a great job of challenging you but keeping you from being over challenged.  One of the most important things in any workout is breathing and one of the reasons to love yoga is the emphasis on breath.  Full breaths, all the way in and all the way out, to keep you body fully oxygenated and the blood flowing to all the organs and joints.  No other work out does this as well as Yoga.

365 day path into Yoga

Yoga such a simple word but once you start practicing this path what a life change.  I only started practicing this path seriously in the last six months and now I want to share my journey with you.  My plan is to share a 365 day Yoga blog, how it changes me, and the world I live in.

Today is day one, 365 days left:

I started to day meditation for about 30 minutes on the Gayatria and the did a short 40 minute Yoga workout.  I always feel like a new person when done with meditation and a Yoga workout.  My body feels whole and complete with all the oxygen flowing through every nerve and fiber.  Every second of my work out I offer up as a prayer from my temple to the Creator who runs through all life and is our breath.  The experience is divine beyond explanation.  My mind and body are moved to a place of total worship and peace.

If you find this blog, I hope you enjoy this path with me.  Check back tomorrow for more.
